WayinVideo (wayin.ai) markets itself as an AI video platform, not a transcription service. Its core features are AI clipping that turns long videos into vertical shorts, AI video search that lets you jump to a moment by typing a question, a summariser that returns a paragraph plus a timestamped outline, transcription with punctuation and speaker labels, an animated caption generator, auto-reframing to 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9, and an API for triggering all of it programmatically. It also does visual mind maps, chat-with-the-video, virality scoring, scheduled publishing to connected social accounts, and brand kits.

It accepts links from YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, Dailymotion, Rumble, Kick, Zoom and Google Drive, plus uploads from your device. It advertises 100+ languages and ships a Chrome extension.

Where WayinVideo is clearly better

It edits video; we do not. If you need the clip itself — reframed, subtitled, filler removed, scheduled to post — WayinVideo does the whole job and we do none of it. Our SRT export is an input to your editor, not a finished video.

Speaker labels and in-app search. WayinVideo separates speakers and lets you search the transcript by keyword and jump to the timestamp. On a multi-speaker TikTok or a long-form upload, that is genuinely better than a flat block of text.

The thing you should check before signing up

WayinVideo's own pages disagree with each other about the free tier, and the gap is not small.

The pricing page says: SIGNUP BENEFITS: 200 CREDITS (One-Time), with the comparison table listing "200 (one-time)" credits per year for the Free column and no recurring allowance.

The TikTok transcript landing page says: "200 Sign-Up Credits + 60 Daily Bonus", and separately, "Free to Start, No Login — no account, no credit card, no friction."

Those describe different products. A 60-credit daily bonus would be a recurring free tier roughly comparable to ours in shape; a one-time 200 is not. The export formats disagree too: the pricing table lists TXT and SRT, while the TikTok page promises TXT, DOC, PDF, SRT and VTT.

Marketing pages and billing pages drift apart on fast-moving products, ours included. But the pricing page is the one attached to the payment, so read that before planning a workflow around a daily allowance that may not exist. We made the same point about Saveto AI's free but unpriced offer: a generous claim with no matching commitment is a risk worth naming.

The verdict

Choose WayinVideo if you are producing video. Clipping, reframing, burned-in animated subtitles, scheduling, multi-platform sources, speaker labels, an API — it does all of it and we do none of it. Accept the subscription, the monthly credit reset and the no-refund policy as the price of that.

Choose TranscribeTok if the thing you want is the words. Two a day forever, no account, no subscription, TXT, DOCX or SRT, done in about ten seconds. If you need more than two on a given day, $9 buys 100 transcripts that never expire.
